Program Overview

Used as a stand-alone degree, or as a stepping-stone for entry into many graduate programs, the 120-credit Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies degree prepares students for a career in paralegal, compliance, or as a legal professional. It is also used to gain entry into a wide array of graduate programs, including prestigious law schools, our Master’s in Business Administration, as well as a Master’s in Legal Studies and Compliance Law.

DeDe Sandler

Esq., MSW

DeDe Sandler, Esq., earned her JD from City University of New York School of Law and subsequently earned her MS from Columbia University. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University. When not teaching for Crestpoint, Sandler hones her litigation skills as a public defender for the Office of Public Defense Services in Phoenix, Arizona. She has also worked for the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Office of Legal Defender and various private law firms. Sandler is a Returned Peace Corps volunteer and an accomplished social worker.

Igor Meystelman

Esq.

Igor Meystelman, J.D., is the managing attorney of IM Law Group, PC, and an educator with a multidisciplinary background in law, history, political science, and marriage and family therapy. He earned bachelor’s degrees in history and political science from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law; he later completed a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy at Daybreak University. His legal practice includes family law, consumer law, civil litigation, real estate, foreclosure matters, and intellectual property. Meystelman brings both legal-practice experience and a relationship-centered perspective to his teaching.

Mindy Weiss, Esq., earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from The John Marshall Law School (now the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law) and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with honors. Weiss began her legal career as a law clerk at the Arizona Court of Appeals and later served as a Senior Law Clerk, contributing to published civil and criminal decisions. She also gained private sector experience as an associate at Quarles & Brady Streich Lang LLP. Weiss has taught for more than a decade as an adjunct instructor in legal research and writing and civil procedure.

Yes. Up to 39 seminary credits may be accepted toward the degree program.
