Master of Science in Accounting (MSA)
Program Overview
The Saint Peter’s University Master of Science in Accounting provides an educationally rigorous and affordable pathway to becoming a highly skilled accounting professional and trusted advisor in today’s increasingly complex financial environment. Distinguished by its emphasis on risk management and compliance as well as the use of AI in accounting, the program equips students with the knowledge and expertise needed to navigate evolving regulatory requirements and address the challenges facing modern organizations.
For students pursuing CPA licensure, the program is designed to satisfy the educational requirements in states that require 150 total credit hours to sit for the CPA examination. When combined with a 120-credit undergraduate degree and the program’s Bridge Program, the Master of Science in Accounting provides the coursework and credit hours necessary to meet these requirements.
The one-semester Bridge Program builds a strong foundation in business and accounting principles while providing the additional coursework needed for CPA eligibility. Students then progress through four semesters of advanced graduate-level accounting and business courses, developing the technical expertise, analytical skills, and professional judgment required for success in the accounting profession.
The entire degree program can be completed in just four semesters (16 months). The Bridge Program requires one additional semester. All coursework is available in our live-online format, making this the perfect option for students in all locations.
Please Note: Our program is designed with the New York/ New Jersey CPA Exam requirements in mind. These requirements are similar in most states but are subject to change. Each of the 50 states or jurisdictions has its own set of fees and CPA Exam Requirements for education, residency, and age. It is the student’s responsibility to research his particular state's requirements to ensure this program meets his needs. For details on requirements in your state or jurisdiction, visit the American Institute of CPAs at aicpa.org and nasba.org.
