We are seeking a creative and passionate lead teacher for our Early Childhood program. The candidate should have the following attributes:

Have enthusiasm to teach young children

A desire to learn

Ability desire to create a loving, nurturing and warm learning environment

A desire to work alongside a great team

Familiarity with constructivist planning lessons with support provided

Understand the basics of early childhood development

Ability to develop a child centered classroom where children learn through play and exploration

Responsible for child and classroom assessment activities, child observations with support from the director

Ability to communicate with families, work collaboratively with colleagues and possess good interpersonal skills

Qualifications

Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood/ Elementary Education and in the process of obtaining a Master's Degree

Experience working with children under the age of six in an Early Childhood setting

Possess or be on track to obtain one of the following New York State teaching certificates:

Early Childhood (Birth - Gr. 2)

Common Branch (N-6)

Students with Disabilities (Birth - Gr. 2)

Time

This is a school year school day position

The school day starts at 8am and finishes at 3:50 with early dismissal on Fridays.
