Sara Schenirer hosted an open house last night for their highly sought-after Master’s in Speech Language Pathology program. The event, led by Rabbi Elazar Meisels, Dean of Sara Schenirer, and Mrs. Rochel Gewirtz, Director of SLP, provided attendees with a wealth of information about the program and the field of speech and language pathology.
It was emphasized that the program, which has been successfully running for two years, is rigorous and competitive to get into. However, those who are accepted can expect a lot of support from the program and its experienced faculty, including Mrs. Gewirtz. The program also provides students with a variety of clinical experience opportunities, allowing them to work with clients of all ages in a range of settings.
Success in the program requires more than just good grades. Attendees were told that students with strong work ethic, responsibility, professionalism, respect, goal orientation, analytical skills, determination, and persistence are more likely to thrive in the program.
The program includes coursework and clinical practicum. The program coordinator, Mrs. Gewirtz, is responsible for finding clinical placements for students, and the program aims to provide a high-quality educational experience that prepares students for success in the field.
Overall, the open house for the Sara Schenirer’s Master’s in Speech Pathology program was a resounding success, providing attendees with a wealth of information about the program and the field of speech and language pathology. It is clear that the program is a worthwhile investment for those who are passionate about pursuing a career in this rewarding field.
