The Wurzweiller School of Social Work and Sara Schenirer recently hosted two care cafes, events focused on providing support and guidance to students and alumni in the field of mental health. The events featured two speakers, Mrs. Sarah Rivkah Kohn, founder of Zissels Links, for the women and Dr. David Katzenstein, Clinical Director at SIMHA, for the men, who shared their expertise with approximately 40 and 30 participants respectively.
Mrs. Kohn, who often collaborates with Mrs. Baila Halpern at Sara Schenirer, spoke to graduates about navigating the role of a therapist alongside askanim and other supportive parties. She provided tips on working with referral organizations and emphasized the importance of focusing on the needs of the client, even when working with those who may not fully understand mental health.

He emphasized the importance of humility, supervision, self development, and continuing education for mental health professionals. The session was moderated by Dovid Becker, LCSW and was well-received by the audience.
