The 15-month Bachelor of Arts in Psychology – Medical Track is an intense undergraduate program where students earn a rigorous degree in psychology as well as all of the prerequisite courses for a wide variety of medical-based graduate programs. Students who graduate from this program are well-positioned to apply to graduate programs in fields such as Medical School, Dentistry, Nursing, Nurse Practitioner, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, and more.
By incorporating 39 Yeshiva credits, this degree can be completed in 4 semesters (16 months) and incorporates all common prerequisite undergraduate courses required for application to medical-based graduate programs. Students enjoy access to outstanding professors while saving time and expense through this innovative program. Additionally, should a student decide to pursue a different master’s degree pathway in a non-medical field, this bachelor’s degree is suitable for those possibilities as well.
We are proud to have partnered with The College of Mount Saint Vincent (CMSV), a highly ranked college in NYS, featuring an outstanding undergraduate Psychology department. Founded in 1847, CMSV is among the five oldest colleges in New York City and offers more than 70 nationally recognized programs, including a full array of majors and minors in the sciences and mathematics, the humanities, arts, and social sciences, and professional preparation in accounting, business, communication, education, and nursing.
CMSV is a regionally accredited college, which means that their degrees are accepted by all graduate programs nationwide. All common prerequisite medical-based undergraduate courses are included in this degree at no additional cost.
A BA in Psychology is extremely versatile and can be used to apply for a wide range of graduate degrees. Sara Schenirer graduates have used it successfully to enroll in graduate programs as diverse as Speech and Language Pathology, Law School, Genetic Counseling, Education, MBA, Social Work, and so much. Our unique medical-track, however, goes a step further and incorporates all medical prerequisite courses into the undergraduate program so that students are fully prepared to apply for graduate programs in the medical field upon graduation.
Assuming you don’t have a clear preference for another field, this is an ideal program to help a student determine his ideal graduate graduate and career pathway and whether the field of medicine is right for him. Through the course of the program, students are exposed to professionals in the medical field and have the opportunity to observe and speak with them and learn more about the various medical professions. This first-hand knowledge enables students to make a clear-headed decision when the time comes for application to graduate school.

Although the program is rigorous, students are able to maintain employment during the course of their undergraduate studies, and the schedule is tailored to allow for that. Students seeking to pursue a career in the field of medicine are strongly encouraged to seek employment in a medical-based setting so they can gain firsthand experience and learn about the field in an authentic manner. This will also greatly enhance their resume as they apply to graduate programs in their chosen field.
High School Transcript (minimum 3.0 GPA)
A 3-credit Psychology prerequisite is required for acceptance into the program, which must be completed prior to the start of the semester. Your coordinator will notify you about how to earn these credits at your interview (if applicable).
The Office of the Registrar at the CMSV grants transfer credits to students who have completed courses at accredited institutions and have provided their official transcripts for evaluation. The Registrar evaluates and accepts only credits that apply to the student’s program of study and reflect a final grade of ‘C’ or above. Accepted credits are applied to the student’s record, reflected on their academic planner, but not calculated into their college GPA. A transfer credit planner will also be shared with the student’s advisor to assist with schedule creation and developing a graduation plan.
Classes are offered online in a combination of synchronous and asynchronous classes. The majority of the program is offered through live-online classes akin to a live classroom, but which allows students to join remotely. A small number of classes are offered online in an asynchronous fashion as well.
The live-online classes take place three evenings each week. The evenings on which classes are scheduled are selected from M-T.

The cost of the degree is between $19,500, but students who are eligible for financial aid (FAFSA) can receive scholarships to cover the cost of the degree. Financial aid eligibility is determined by completing the FAFSA.
In addition to the cost of the college courses taken through CMSV, a student will likely need to take a limited number of additional exams or courses to complete her degree. These additional courses cost between $750-1,500. We provide personalized guidance to ensure that this is accomplished affordably and efficiently.

Our exceptional guidance counselors work closely with each and every student to ensure that the vast majority of our students graduate on schedule with all requirements completed. Students who require a more customized program are accommodated to the maximum of our ability.
In most cases, students can continue their education without interruption since the program is entirely online. Relocating to Eretz Yisroel requires separate arrangements which will need to be coordinated on an individual basis. Additionally, since CMSV is a fully accredited college, credits can be transferred to colleges and universities worldwide enabling students to complete their degrees elsewhere should they choose.
