Coopersmith Exam and Talent Account Instructions
ALL Coopersmith exams taken through Sara Schenirer must be pre-ordered online using the instructions below.
This applies to exams taken via online or in-person proctoring.
Section I: Registration
Register on the Coopersmith Website (this is necessary the first time ONLY).
Site: www.coopersmithcc.net
Click on “New student? Register here” at the top right corner.
Fill out your personal information.
For “college”, enter the name of the college you attend and Sara Schenirer (ex: CMSV/Sara Schenirer, SPU/Sara Schenirer).
When asked where to have your transcript sent to:
If you are a College of Mount Saint Vincent student, have it sent to [email protected]
If you are a Saint Peter’s University student, have it sent to [email protected]
Section II: Ordering a Coopersmith Course + Exam
Once your Coopersmith account is set up (above), you can always go directly to this link to order your exams. You will receive an instant automatic email receipt right after you order an exam.
When your order is processed, you will have access to the course/study materials as well as the exam.
Tip: Keep the exam name and number handy, as you will need it when scheduling your proctoring session.
Ordering your First Exam + Creating your Talent Account
For the first exam your order, the process is a bit different, and takes an extra day or two.
Ordering your first exam will trigger the creation of your Talent Account. You can expect an email from Coopersmith containing your Talent Account login information within 48 hours after ordering your first exam. “Talent” is the online portal on which you will find the Coopersmith courses you ordered and take your Coopersmith exams.
You will also receive login information for Ampeducator, which keeps a record of your final grades, as you complete your Coopersmith exams.
Ordering subsequent exams
For all subsequent exams, if they are ordered by 2PM on a weekday, the study material will be emailed to you and the exam will appear in your Talent account within 5 hours.
For exams ordered after 2 PM: the study material will be emailed and the exam will appear on Talent the next business day.
Section III: Scheduling your Exam
To Schedule an Online Proctoring Session:
Once your order appears on Talent (based on the timeframe above), schedule your online proctoring session with Sara Schenirer here.
This will allow you to schedule your exam proctoring session online, and pay the $20 proctoring fee.
Tips For Taking An Exam Online:
During an exam, you may go back and forth between questions as often as you’d like by using the directional arrows. However, once you reach the last question and submit the exam, you will not be able to reopen the exam. Please do not “submit” the last questions until you are sure you have completed the exam.
Your grade will be emailed to you within 3 business days.
Please note, immediately after you complete the exam, the computer may grade your multiple choice answers and notify you that you may have failed the exam.
This is not necessarily true, as the long answers have not been marked at that point. If such a notification does pop up on your screen, ignore it and wait until your final grade is emailed to you.
To Take an In-Person Exam:
Even if you are taking an in-person exam, you must first order your exam on the Coopersmith website using the instructions in Section II above. It must appear on Talent before you come to take the exam.
There is a $20 fee for proctoring, payable at the time of your exam.

(Optional) Section V: Taking your Exam via ProctorU:
If the Sara Schenirer Zoom proctoring does not fit your schedule, you can take your exams via ProctorU.
First follow Sections I and II above.
Then, when you are ready to schedule the exam and would like to take the exam online, please go to https://www.proctoru.com/portal/coopersmithcareerconsulting. Please set up an account with ProctorU as directed. Please note that times for scheduled exams can be changed at no cost. For close-in scheduling (which means scheduling exams less than 3 days in advance), ProctorU charges an additional $12 convenience fee.
ProctorU monitors everything you do while taking the exam. If any suspicious activity is noted while taking the exam, they relay that information to Coopersmith at the conclusion of the exam. Students found to have engaged in improper or dishonest behavior during an exam will receive an F for the exam.
