SPU Website Instructions
The SPU Toolkit Page has all important links that students will need to access during their college careers:

Email
SPU provides an email account for each student. Login via Gmail.com or the SPU Toolkit page.
All SPU emails are sent here – PLEASE regularly check your inbox for:
– Financial Aid information/updates
– Student Accounts correspondence
– Blackboard messages from professors, classmates, assignment submission receipt, etc.
– Registrar and Enrollment messages
Your email address includes your SPU username.
Example: My email address is [email protected], so my username is ereich1
Blackboard
Blackboard is your virtual classroom.
– All professors use Blackboard for classes, and you will be using it to access your courses.
– You’ll find your course announcements, syllabus, assignments, course documents, discussion boards, grades, etc. for all current courses you are registered for in the given term.
– Access via https://saintpeters.blackboard.com/
– If you are on your SPU Gmail page, you can find the Blackboard tile within the 9 dot “waffle” icon (Google Apps) at the upper right corner.
– You will receive an error message if you are logged into any other Google account when opening Blackboard.
– Click here for instructions on how to view your grades on Blackboard.
Library
Online Library Resource available 24/7
– You can download articles, access databases, etc.
– There is an online chat or email option to speak with the library staff
You’re welcome to ask a library or research-related question, request full-text of resources, report technical issues with access, etc.
Typically, your question will be answered within 24 hours.
– For Research Consultation, you can request an appointment with a librarian to meet in person, online (Google Meet), or via telephone. Use this link to submit the request via Google Docs with your SPU email account.
SPIRIT Online / Self-Service
Your personal portal for all Student Financial and Academic information
Students can access Self-Service by clicking on the “SPIRIT Online” link on the SPU Toolkit Page or via this link.
Information includes:
– Financial:
Student Finance – Billing Statements, Submitting Payment, Account Activity, Refunds
Financial Aid – Grants/Awards, Loan offers and requests, Tax Documents
– Academics:
Courses, Grades, Course registration, etc.
Enrollment Verification and Unofficial Transcript requests
Graduation Application and Status
View/Add Proxy Access for parent/spouse accessibility
Where to go for help
Students can receive help for any technology needs by contacting the SPU Service Desk.
Include your full name, student ID#, phone number, and explanation of the issue with any relevant screen shots.
