Fingerprinting Information

In order to receive your New York State Teacher’s Certification, you must be fingerprinted. Before your appointment, you MUST set up a TEACH account. (Click here for instructions to set up your account.)

As of 4/22/2022, the NYC DOE will no longer accept appointments for fingerprinting services and these services will no longer be available at any NYC DOE facility (such as 65 Court Street). All fingerprinting services will be completed by MorphoTrust/Identogo.

2. select Schedule or Manage an Appointment

3. follow the prompts & enter your information on the forms [be sure to enter all the required information]

You will be fingerprinting at a MorphoTrust location. If you fingerprint outside of NY State, there is a $30 fee.  

The fingerprinting fee is $100.25. It can be paid at the time of fingerprinting with a credit card or a check made out to  “IDEMIA”

You must provide one form of photo identification when you fingerprint. 

Acceptable Photo ID Documents

Unexpired US Passport 

Driver’s License (issued by a US State)

Unexpired Foreign Passport

Photo ID Card issued by Federal, State or Local Government

Your fingerprinting information will be electronically transmitted to TEACH by MorphoTrust.

To verify that all is complete on TEACH:

1. Log on to TEACH

2. Click “Account Information”

3. Click “Fingerprinting”

If your fingerprints were received, this is the information that appears:

Please note: If it displays “Your DCJS and FBI results have been received”, you can ignore the message of “No Data Found”.

If you fingerprinted at 65 Court Street before it was discontinued, please contact your coordinator to learn how to transfer your fingerprints to NY State.
