How to Apply for BCBA Certification
Log onto the BACB website
Click on ”My account” and create an account
Click on the “Certification” tab, and follow the prompts.
You will need the following information:
Institution: Manhattanville University
Department: Special Education Department
Program: Applied Behavior Analysis
Pathway: 2
VCS: 51087
Upload your Final Verification Form to your account
Complete the Coursework Attestation From. Directions can be found here.
Order your transcript to [email protected] or via parchment. This will be uploaded to your profile within 2-3 weeks.
If you completed your Advanced Certificate in ABA, order your Master’s transcript (from the college where you completed your Master’s) in addition to your Advanced Certificate Transcript.

The BACB will then approve your application and issue a determination that will approve/ not approve the student’s ability to sit for the exam.
Once you are approved (24-48 hours) you will receive an email to schedule your exam with Pearson VUE.
How to Apply for NY LBA Certification
Visit the NYSED website here.
A) Complete form 1 online. This includes a $300 payment.
B) Complete form 3C. This form requests that the BACB sends your exam score to NYS. The BACB will need to complete and sign this form.
In order to request this from the BACB:
Log onto the BACB Website. Click “Contact Us”. Choose “Question”. Related to “BCBA”. When asked for “topic”, choose “Maintaining BCBA Certification”. You will be led to a blank box. In it, you will request that the BACB complete and sign your form and send it to NYS. The BACB will respond with a site for you to upload the form. The BACB will then forward the form to NYS.
C) Upload your child abuse certificate.
A hard copy of your certification should arrive in the mail.
