Program Overview
Used as a stand-alone degree, or as a stepping-stone for entry into many graduate programs, the 120-credit Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies degree prepares students for a career in paralegal, compliance, or as a legal professional. It is also used to gain entry into a wide array of graduate programs, including prestigious law schools, our Master’s in Business Administration, as well as a Master’s in Legal Studies and Compliance Law.

Daniel Green
Esq., MBA
Daniel Green, Esq., graduated with a BS in Information Systems from Ramapo College of New Jersey and went on to earn an MBA from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business and a JD from Pace University School of Law. He is admitted to the bar in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Green worked in the Information Technology field for a number of years and now practices in-house in the areas of healthcare and ERISA law at a New York City healthcare organization.

DeDe Sandler
Esq., MSW
DeDe Sandler, Esq., earned her JD from City University of New York School of Law and subsequently earned her MS from Columbia University. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University. When not teaching for Crestpoint, Sandler hones her litigation skills as a public defender for the Office of Public Defense Services in Phoenix, Arizona. She has also worked for the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Office of Legal Defender and various private law firms. Sandler is a Returned Peace Corps volunteer and an accomplished social worker.

Igor Meystelman
Esq.
Igor Meystelman, J.D., is the managing attorney of IM Law Group, PC, and an educator with a multidisciplinary background in law, history, political science, and marriage and family therapy. He earned bachelor’s degrees in history and political science from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law; he later completed a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy at Daybreak University. His legal practice includes family law, consumer law, civil litigation, real estate, foreclosure matters, and intellectual property. Meystelman brings both legal-practice experience and a relationship-centered perspective to his teaching.

Rabbi Michael Dubitsky
M.S. Ed., J.D.
Rabbi Michael Dubitsky Dubitsky received his JD from Yeshiva University's Cardozo School of Law in New York City and his MS in Secondary Jewish Education from its Azrieli Graduate School of Education. He is a veteran instructor who has taught multiple subjects at Shearim Torah High School For Girls in Phoenix, AZ as well as the Mesivta of Phoenix, and has been grading and teaching at Crestpoint University for many years. Additionally, Dubitsky is a hospital chaplain for JFCS covering over ten hospitals in the Phoenix Metro area.

The cost of the degree is approximately $19,600. This covers the cost of college courses ($19,000) and required exams ($600). Students who are eligible for financial aid (FAFSA) may receive scholarships to cover the full cost of the college courses. Your exact tuition amount will depend on your transfer credits and financial aid eligibility.

How long will it take to earn the degree?
This degree can be completed in just four semesters (16 months).
Will my Yeshiva credits count toward this degree?
Yes. Up to 39 Yeshiva credits may be accepted toward the degree program.

When taken in conjunction with the LSAT, this degree is an excellent foundation for law school. What are the admission requirements?
• High School Transcript (minimum 3.0 GPA)
• A 3-credit College-Level English Composition or Business Writing prerequisite and a 3-credit College-Level Business Law prerequisite are required for acceptance into the program, which must be completed prior to the start of the semester. Your coordinator will notify you about how to earn these credits at your interview (if applicable).
Which credits can be applied towards the bachelor’s degree?
The Office of the Registrar at Crestpoint University grants transfer credits to students who have completed courses at accredited institutions and have provided their official transcripts for evaluation. The Office of the Registrar evaluates and accepts only credits that are applicable to the student’s program of study and reflect a final grade of ‘C’ or above. Accepted credits are applied to the student’s record, reflected on their academic planner, but not calculated into their college GPA. The transfer credit planner will also be shared with the student’s advisor to assist with schedule creation and developing a graduation plan.
