On Sunday evening, Sara Schenirer held a virtual career symposium for its undergraduate students. This event was the first in Sara Schenirer’s new career advancement series, designed to help students make informed decisions about their future careers.
During the symposium, students who had chosen a track at the undergraduate level had the opportunity to hear from professionals currently working in their chosen field. The event opened with a session titled “Choosing Wisely” delivered by Mrs. Yael Kaisman, which delved into what students should consider when choosing their career path.
After the opening session, students were able to attend breakout sessions with professionals currently working in a range of fields, including: ABA, accounting, business, medical, social work, speech pathology, special education, and psychology. These sessions provided students with the chance to ask questions, learn about the day-to-day realities of working in these fields, and gain valuable insights into the skills and qualifications needed to succeed in their chosen careers.
The Sara Schenirer Institute’s career symposium was a valuable opportunity for its undergraduate students to connect with professionals in their chosen fields. Sara Schenirer is planning to hold similar events in the future, giving students the chance to continue exploring their career options and to make informed decisions about their future.
Sara Schenirer has implemented an innovative tracked program in its undergraduate division to help students achieve their career goals. Through this program, students who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree choose a track that aligns with their desired career path. By participating in this program, students can gain hands-on experience in their chosen field and determine if it is the right fit for them. Additionally, students who choose certain tracks can even complete two masters-level courses or the necessary prerequisites for a medical-related masters during their undergraduate studies, saving time and money in the long run.
