Join Our Occupational Therapy Open House

  • January 25, 2023

Sara Schenirer and the Katz School of Science and Health at Yeshiva University are excited to announce the launch of their new Occupational Therapy Doctorate program in the spring of 2024. This 115-credit program is the first fully accredited entry-level OT doctoral program in the New York area, allowing students to earn their doctoral degree with just a bachelor’s degree and required prerequisites.

What sets this program apart is the unique curriculum that trains students to provide holistic services through a combination of theory, research, and clinical skills. Students can start at the undergraduate level, taking the Sara Schenirer BA in Psychology with embedded OT prerequisites, saving students time and money.

The Katz School of Science and Health is a prestigious institution and Yeshiva University is a US News and World Report Top 100 university, Forbes ranks Yeshiva University as a Top 100 university in the United States, Top 50 in the Northeast, and 57th among research universities nationwide.

This program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and graduates are eligible to sit for the national certification examination to become an occupational therapist by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

The field of occupational therapy is growing rapidly and offers a wide range of opportunities, including working in clinics, out-patient facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, wellness centers, mental health clinics, and more. Especially for frum women, occupational therapy is a fulfilling and supportive profession that aligns well with traditional values and lifestyle.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to learn more about the field and the program, join us for an open house on Sunday, January. 29th 8:00 PM via zoom, where you can meet the faculty, ask questions, and get more information about the program and the field of Occupational therapy. This is your chance to make an informed decision about your future in the field of occupational therapy and we look forward to seeing you there.
